Yes, there is a standard 3-month probation period. During this time, you will receive the same salary and benefits as a regular employee.
Technology & Role (The "Tech" Questions)
I want to develop AI/ML models. Can I use these skills in a network engineering company?
Answer: Absolutely. Modern networks have become too complex for manual management. We are heavily focused on "AIOps" (AI for IT Operations). You will use your machine learning expertise to analyze massive streams of log and traffic data (time-series data) for Anomaly Detection and Network Optimization. Here, you won't just build models in a vacuum; you will implement them to support real-world critical infrastructure.
Does your company have enough "data" for AI training?
Answer: Yes, we are sitting on a "gold mine." Network infrastructure generates enormous amounts of data every second, 24/7. Unlike static public datasets found online, we have real-time, dynamic "living data." The challenge of collecting, cleaning, and transforming this big data into actionable insights is an incredibly rewarding environment for any data scientist.
How is your company involved with Generative AI (LLMs)?
Answer: We are deeply connected. Training and running Large Language Models (LLMs) requires thousands of GPUs working in sync, where the bottleneck is often "latency" rather than raw computing power. From a "Network for AI" perspective, we design ultra-high-speed, low-latency network architectures essential to unlocking AI’s full potential. Network engineers are the ones supporting the evolution of AI from the physical layer up.
Career Path (The "Career" Questions)
If I become a network engineer, I’m worried I’ll stop using programming languages like Python.
Answer: There is no need for concern. Modern network engineering is centered around "Infrastructure as Code (IaC)." The era of manually typing commands (CLI) is being replaced by automation using Python, Ansible, and Terraform. Your programming skills will be a powerful weapon in the fields of Network Automation and Software Defined Networking (SDN).
Is it possible to transition into a Data Scientist career in the future?
Answer: Yes, it is. We are actively looking for hybrid engineers who possess both network domain knowledge and data science skills. While we ask you to master the fundamentals of networking first, we expect you to eventually lead AI-driven service development within our R&D or Data Analysis teams.
Working in Japan & Culture (The "Culture" Questions)
I don't speak Japanese yet. Can I still succeed, or is N1 required?
Answer: In the world of technology, the universal languages are "Code" and "English." Most cutting-edge documentation is in English, and your English proficiency is a major asset to our team. While we prioritize technical curiosity and logical thinking during hiring, we do encourage learning Japanese for teamwork and daily life, aiming for at least the JLPT N3 level. We fully support our employees' language learning journey with company-provided resources..
